Commonly known as sand / shot blasting , all parts are blasted with an aluminum oxide to remove left over paint from the chemical stripping process . This creates a rough and pours finish which is perfect for powder coating to adhere .

At DVS Coatings we understand the importance of having any items thoroughly blast cleaned before powder coating, to ensure the finish is smooth and long-lasting. If any dirt, grime, or residue is left on the metal, there is a greater risk of the paint chipping , as well as changes to the surface texture and colour.

METAL PREPARATION

As well as Powder Coating we also offer a comprehensive bead blasting service for cast aluminium parts.

ideal if your looking to clean up any aluminum engine components to maintain a OEM look .

please note, aftercare is required as aluminium oxidises quickly. we recommend applying ACF-50 with a clean cloth.

PAINT STRIPPING

We offer a blasting and chemical stirpping service separate to the powdercoating process .
